Greece: nomad-visa applications now consular-only

Greece tightened the process so digital-nomad-visa applications must be filed at a Greek consulate in your home country — in-country conversion is no longer accepted.

What changed

Greece moved to consular-only applications for the digital nomad visa — you apply through a Greek consular post in your home country rather than converting on the ground. The income test is about €3,500/month net.

When

Reported as of 2024.

Who's affected

Non-EU applicants — especially anyone who assumed they could enter and convert in-country.

Verify

Confirm the consulate covering your region and its document list before booking anything.
